Free and Pro

Mac Shield is free to download and use. Every check is free and shows its full results, and free users get the live advisory feed and every update. Mac Shield Pro adds always-on protection: background checks and alerts, Paste Guard, Clipboard Guard, Stealer Watch, clone checks, new-device and new-connection alerts, watched wallets, 30-day history and one-click fixes. Code Red, including restoring your Mac afterwards, is always free.

Price

Mac Shield Pro costs $5/month or $30/year, in US dollars. We don’t add sales tax at checkout. Stripe processes your payment. If we ever change the price, we’ll email you before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

Automatic renewal

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period — every month for the monthly plan, every year for the yearly plan — and Stripe charges the card you subscribed with the price shown at checkout, until you cancel. Checkout shows the price and how often you’ll be charged before you pay, and your receipt email confirms it.

Cancel any time

You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Ask for a billing link on your subscription page; it opens Stripe’s billing page, where you can cancel in a few clicks. You can also email support@macshield.app. After you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then ends. You won’t be charged again.

When Pro ends

When a subscription or trial ends, Pro’s background features pause and Mac Shield tells you once. Your settings and data are kept, so renewing restores them. Every check, and Code Red, keep working.

Free trial

You can try Pro free for 7 days from inside the app, without a card or an email. There’s one trial per Mac. A trial doesn’t turn into a paid subscription by itself; it simply ends. If you subscribe during a trial, your paid subscription starts straight away.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it automatically and Pro stays on for a short grace period. If payment still can’t be taken, Pro ends as described above.

2 Macs per subscription

Your license key activates up to 2 Macs at a time. You can free a seat by deactivating a Mac in the app. If a Mac is unavailable, you can sign Pro out of all your Macs by email from your subscription page, then activate again. Activating needs an internet connection; Mac Shield refreshes its license in the background.

Refunds

Not for you? Email support@macshield.app within 14 days of a payment — your first payment or a renewal — and we’ll refund that payment in full, no questions asked. Please write from the email address you subscribed with. A refund ends Mac Shield Pro on your Macs; every free check keeps working, and Code Red is always free. This policy doesn’t limit any rights you have under the law. See the refund policy.

What Mac Shield does, and doesn’t

Mac Shield checks your Mac and reports what it checked and what it found. It is not antivirus, and no software can guarantee that a Mac is free of every threat or that every attack is stopped. Fixes happen only after you confirm them. Keep backups of anything important.
