How does the free trial work?
Open Mac Shield and choose Try Pro. You get every Pro feature for 7 days, with no card and no email. There’s one trial per Mac. If you subscribe during the trial, your subscription starts straight away.
What happens if Pro ends?
Background features pause and Mac Shield tells you once. Your settings are kept, so renewing turns everything back on exactly as it was. Nothing is deleted, every check keeps working, and Code Red — including restoring your Mac afterwards — always works.
Can I use one subscription on two Macs?
Yes. One subscription covers 2 Macs. To move to a new Mac, deactivate an old one in Mac Shield’s Settings → Pro. If a Mac is lost or broken, free your Macs by email: it signs Pro out of every Mac on the subscription, and you enter your key again on the ones you use.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
There’s no account or password. Ask for a billing link on your subscription page, using your email and license key, and we’ll email you a one-time link to Stripe’s billing page, where you can cancel, switch plans or update your card. If you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Do free users get updates and the advisory feed?
Yes, all of them. A security app that ships stale advisories or holds back security fixes makes everyone less safe.
Is Mac Shield antivirus?
No. Mac Shield checks your Mac against the flaws and tricks attackers are using now, watches for the signs of trouble, and tells you what to do in plain English. Guard uses Apple’s own malware signatures to look for known Mac malware. No software can promise a Mac is completely safe, and Mac Shield doesn’t.
